Kyphi (Kapet) was one of the most sacred incenses of Ancient Egypt. It was created by the high priests/priestesses and typically took months to make because it underwent an extensive process of cultivation. Once finished it was burned in the temples and tombs, during rituals and ceremonies. Historically, recipes for Kyphi are found on the walls of several Egyptian temples - like Edfu and Philae. The earliest recipe for Kyphi comes from the Ebers Papyrus around 1500 BC.

It welcomes the gods and completely shifts the energy of a space. It was known to be the final offering of the day, burned at dusk and into the night. Burning Kyphi was believed to restore the sexuality of the gods or the departed. It is also known to have several healing ailments such as, purifying the air of the home, promoting relaxation, invoking dreams, and working as a high vibe protective perfume. The scent is rich, mysterious, sweet, warm, with some spice.

Kyphi is more expensive than your typical incense due to the extended amount of time it takes to create, as well as the ingredients it requires. Some of the ingredients include: heavy red wine, high quality raw honey, labdanum, benzoin, styrax, mastic, myrrh, frankincense, juniper, saffron, galbanum, cardamom, cinnamon, sandalwood, and more…

HOW TO USE: YOU CAN BURN THIS INCENSE ON CHARCOAL DISK (RECOMMENDED TO PUT FOIL ON TOP OF DISK FOR SLOWER BURN), ON A "NO CHARCOAL BURNER"' (WITH A TEA LIGHT AND A SIEVE OR A PLATE OR ON AN ELECTRIC INCENSE BURNER.

IMPORTANT: Keep it away from children and pets, store it in a cool and dry place and use it with general caution. Ensure regular ventilation and fresh air when burning.
